A dependable identification sequence
Start with the outline: tote, barrel, bucket, flap, pouch, backpack, or hobo. Then identify the surface and visible features such as outer pockets, chains, and closure.
Compare measurements and construction with more than one documented example. Editions may share a name while changing straps, lining, pockets, or hardware. Record uncertainty when an exact version cannot be established.
Model names are families
A model family can span canvas and leather, several sizes, seasonal colors, collaborations, and multiple generations. The example photo in the finder represents one piece, rather than every version.
Use the finder’s material filters as a starting point. Open the larger photo and follow its source to examine a documented listing or official product page.
