As one of San Diego's top jewelry buyers we recognize the trust involved with selling your jewelry. We are continually updating our knowledge with GIA educational programs and working closely with several auction houses so we can stay up with current trends and pricing. As a more luxury type store we are very comfortable evaluating diamonds of all sizes. We are always buyers of designer pieces such as Tiffany, Van Cleef & Arpels, Cartier, and most others. We can usually evaluate your pieces and make you a cash offer within a few minutes.

We would be happy to set up a free consultation and answer any of your questions. You are also welcome to send us a picture of your item and a brief description on our submission page here.

Recently, we were asked to provide an expert opinion for an interview with Beyond4Cs; a website dedicated to consumer education. Over 100 industry experts were interviewed including appraisers, wholesalers and retailers. Here's the excerpt of our response from the write up:

Paola Brewer from PoshPawn.com

Paola Brewer poshpawnbroker.comAs a full service jewelry store and a pawn shop, I probably have a different perspective then other jewelry retailers. Obviously spring and certain holidays like Valentine's Day see the most demand for engagement rings. For this reason, I think the customer may be at a disadvantage in that the retailers are expecting a lot of demand and are less inclined to negotiate prices. For this reason, I would recommend shopping during off peak times of the year such as Fall or or winter. More importantly, if you are really trying to maximize your dollars, it would be wise to start a relationship with a high end pawn shop such as ours. We get a constant flow of certified and non-certified diamonds in the store. We are continually sending stones to GIA for grading so we can sell them to the diamond dealers. If we can make a little extra profit selling them to the public, we are thrilled and the customer gets a huge discount from normal retail.
